Annual Reviews

Members must complete an annual review each year to stay in the Healthy Connections Medicaid program. However, during the COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE), Medicaid had special rules. During this time, Medicaid members have kept their coverage. Annual reviews restarted April 1, 2023. We will notify you by mail or text (if we have your cell phone number) near your review date. The texts will come from (803) 879-4184. We will try to renew your Medicaid with info we have. If we can renew your Medicaid this way, you will receive a “Continuation of Benefits” notice and will not receive a review form. If we cannot renew it this way, we will mail you a form to complete and return. Members can also complete their annual review form online by visiting and clicking “Submit Annual Review.”

Even though the process started April 1, it will likely take about 12 months to complete all annual reviews. This means some members will not receive their notice or review form until March 2024.
