BabyNet Provider Outreach

As of July 1, 2019, claims payments for the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) Part C program, commonly known as BabyNet, were integrated with the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) Medicaid Program. BabyNet and Medicaid claims payments are now processed by the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS). Providers will receive claims payments from the South Carolina Treasurer’s Office.

With the transition of BabyNet claims payments to the SCEIS, SCDHHS also phased out the Agency Invoice Report (AIR) in the BabyNet Reporting & Intervention Data Gathering Electronic System (BRIDGES).

Claims-level remittance advice for providers enrolled in BabyNet will be available through the SCDHHS Web Tool beginning November 2019, for dates of service on and after Nov. 1.

SCDHHS will still temporarily email BabyNet providers their claims-level remittance advice during integration for claims processed with dates of service before the Nov. 1 release date of the claims-level remittance advice in the SCDHHS web tool. Providers can use these remittance advices for BabyNet claims payment reconciliation.

Please email a BabyNet Outreach Team member at Babynet_billing_support@scdhhs.gov with any questions.
