As a part of the state's preparation and response to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) is announcing several policy changes and resources to protect the health and well-being of South Carolina Healthy Connections Medicaid members by ensuring ongoing access to care. The temporary provider policy changes outlined below will give providers needed flexibility to help ensure Healthy Connections Medicaid members continue to have access to care while supporting important social distancing measures.

Healthy Connections Members and Applicant Resources
If you don't have healthcare coverage, Healthy Connections Medicaid can cover the cost of COVID-19 testing and the administration of a COVID-19 vaccine. Apply for the COVID-19 limited benefit online or download a PDF version of the application through one of the links below. Current Healthy Connections Medicaid members do not need to apply for this new program.
Healthy Connections is South Carolina's Medicaid program. It is a medical assistance program that helps pay for some or all medical bills for many people who cannot afford medical care. The program also assists individuals who are over 65 or have a disability with the costs of nursing facility care and other medical expenses.

SCDHHS’ BabyNet eligibility team is still conducting evaluations and making referrals for infants and toddlers under 3 years of age with developmental delays, or who have conditions associated with developmental delays.
