Webinar hosted Aug. 25, 2021
The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) released the revised South Carolina Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) Statewide Transition Plan for a public comment period. During the public comment period, Aug. 23 – Oct. 1, 2021, SCDHHS solicited feedback for the following:
- SCDHHS submitted a list of settings in the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs network to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for heightened scrutiny review under Category 3, defined as settings that may have the effect of isolating individuals receiving Medicaid HCBS from the broader community of individuals not receiving HCBS, and
- The final approved South Carolina HCBS Statewide Transition Plan, which has been revised to reflect updated heightened scrutiny settings numbers and information on this heightened scrutiny submission.
The public can view the full public notice and revised HCBS Statewide Transition Plan online at https://msp.scdhhs.gov/hcbs/site-page/hcbs-statewide-transition-plan. The public comment period was Aug. 23 – Oct. 1, 2021.
