Providers can receive both Medicaid EHR Incentive Payments and MIPS/ QPP/ APM incentives for the same year! Extra money for you, your practice, or organization

Providers can participate and receive payments from both the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program and MIPS/ QPP/ APM for the same year!

The MIPS/ QPP/ APM requirements are very similar to the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program’s requirements. Providers participating in MIPS/ QPP/ APM, can likely meet meaningful use in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program to receive an additional $8500 or $5667 per year per provider! (lesser amount is for pediatricians with a lower % of patients enrolled in Medicaid)

There are only five more payment years left in the Medicaid program. Don’t miss applying to Stage 2 for Program Year 2017 (last year for stage 2). Begin an attestation here for Program Year 2017 now. See user guide for more information.

Surrogates (organizations, practices, admins, etc.) can attest on behalf of their providers by registering at CMS using this link. Incentives can be assigned to the provider or an entity that they have a contractual arrangement allowing the employer or entity to bill and receive payment for the EP’s covered professional services.

As a reminder, Medicare providers can continue to demonstrate meaningful use in the Medicaid EHR Incentive Program to avoid a payment adjustment from CMS.
