Charity Care Survey
In its efforts to implement Proviso 33.34 and understand current hospital policies and practices related to the services provided to the uninsured in South Carolina, the SCDHHS requested all South Carolina hospitals participate in a charity care survey.
SCDHHS will publish a summary of its findings and use the information to help guide any changes in policies that align with the requirements of the proviso, changes in the DSH program and the development of Medicaid Presumptive Eligibility policies.
