DSH Accountability
Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) Accountability comprises section B of Proviso 33.34.
In an effort to ensure individuals who are eligible for insurance have coverage, hospitals will have to submit to SCDHHS claims-level data and documentation verifying that a discussion of insurance options with the patient has occurred. Hospitals must take these steps in order to receive DSH funding.
