Transition of Medicaid Payments to SCEIS

In July 2019, the South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) transitioned payments issued to Medicaid providers to the state of South Carolina’s consolidated accounting system – the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).

The use of SCEIS was mandated by the South Carolina General Assembly by Act 151 of 2005. This legislation directs that SCEIS be implemented for all state agencies.
